VACI Ghana Volunteering Program Fees
Application fee = $200
Program Fees (based on duration of stay):
1 Week = $ 395 (US)
2 Weeks = $ 445(US)
3 Weeks = $ 495 (US)
4 Weeks = $ 545 (US)
5 Weeks = $ 645 (US)
6 Weeks = $ 745 (US)
* Each extra week spent will attract a fee of $ 100 (US).
What is included in the program fees?
The fees will cater for the cost of the following:
Coaching and preparation in your home country by the country coordinator
Participant pick-up from the airport in Accra
Transportation to project site/host family and VACI office
Accommodation and treated mosquito net
24-hour in-country support
Donation to projects
Breakfast and Dinner
Certificate Of Completion (Upon Request)
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:
Flights: Flights are not included in our program costs. However, VACI-Ghana has partnered with an experienced and professional team of travel experts to help our volunteer travelers find the best flight deals for their trips with us. This travel specialist operates in the tailor-made, long-haul multi-stop travel market, arranging complex airfares and transfers for independent travelers.
Visas: The Republic of Ghana, a member of the ECOWAS African Community, allows citizens of all African countries to obtain a visa on arrival. Citizens of most other countries can get a visa on arrival at the airport, or before you travel. To minimize time spent queuing at the airport; get a visa before you travel. You can apply for single entry and transit visas on the e-visas website. All visitors must hold a passport valid for at least six months with at least one empty page. Insurance: You’ll need to buy appropriate travel insurance covering your participation in the program. You won’t be able to go without the right travel insurance so double check to avoid disappointment. Please make sure that you’re covered for the whole duration of your trip – from the day you leave your home to the day you return.
BOOKING AND APPLICATION
To participate in the programs, you have to fill out an online application form and submit it for consideration. After the application process and acceptance into the program, you will be required to pay 50% of the program fee within 14 days of your acceptance. Failure to make the placement booking and confirmation payment will lead to the cancellation of your program.
Refund Conditions
Registration Fee is Non Refundable
Program Fees are partially refundable, depending on how far in advance you decide to modify or cancel your program.
Private Accommodation
In Denu and Aflao, there are a lot of guesthouses and hotels of varying standards and prices. Upon request, VACI-Ghana will try to organize a type of volunteer’s preference. Participants who prefer to stay in a hotel or guesthouse will have to incur the following additional costs:
